
Springtime Fresh Fabric Softener
Making your own fabric softener is quick and easy! This recipe uses Essential’s Basic Conditioner with vinegar to help soften fabric, and adds the Bloomer’s essential oil blend for a lovely springtime fresh scent.
Equipment List
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cup
- Whisk
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups deionized water
- 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
- 1 cup basic conditioner
Mixing It Up
Instructions:
1. Mix together hot deionized water and white vinegar. 2. Add Basic Conditioner and Bloomer’s Essential Oil blend. 3. Mix well with your whisk .
This recipe yields approximately 4 cups of fabric softener. Use up to ¼ cup for a full load of laundry. |
To make dryer sheets:
Soak felted wool dryer balls or washcloths in fabric softener and hang to dry. It may take up to 2 days for your sheets or dryer balls to fully dry. Don’t use until completely dry for best results. Toss them in your dryer! Sheets and dryer balls will typically hold their scent for up to 20 cycles.
Storage and Use
Use in the rinse cycle of your laundry.
