Hemp’s Got Super Powers!

If you’ve been looking for a new favorite product that’s hip, trending, and best of all, hydrating, think Hemp. Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants in human history! Long sought after for its fabulous fiber– used for rope and fabric, the oil expressed from the seeds of the Hemp plant is an amazing ingredient for cosmetics and body care. Hemp Seed Oil is a natural moisturizer, helping your skin feel smooth and soft while acting as a barrier in preventing moisture loss. The USDA Certified Organic Refined Hemp Oil we use at Essential is a dark clear green with a natural grassy, nutty scent. Hemp oil is super hydrating and nourishing, and full of nutrients your skin will love.

Hemp Oil is Rich in Fatty Acids and Vitamins

Hemp Seed Oil a terrific addition to various cosmetics including skin creams, shampoos, shaving cream, lip balms, and massage oils. Hemp Oil is full of Omega-6 and Omega-3 essential fatty acids, including gamma-linolenic acid, an important Omega-6 for skin. A powerful combination of essential fatty acids, this oil, is so useful for promoting skin health and improving dry skin.  Hemp is also rich in Vitamin D to help achieve soft, smooth, and hydrated skin.

With Hemp Seed Oil being reported to have a comedogenic rating of 0, it will contribute to balancing out excess sebum making it a fabulous choice for people with chaotic skin, as well as those with mature or dry skin.

Hemp Oil is Perfect for Cleansing

Using this oil as an oil cleanser is amazing as it contains a perfect ratio of EFA’s (containing 57% Linoleic acid!) thusly helping the skin to soften and nourished. To use this oil as a cleanser, wet your face and neck with tepid water and pour an inch squared worth of hemp oil into the palm of your hand. Massage into your skin in gentle upward circular motions. Just rinse off the oil with warm water or simply wipe off with soft 100% cotton cloth or cotton square. If you wear makeup, you might want to cleanse in this way twice. Once rinsing off for the final time, pat your face dry. You can use Hemp Oil as an oil moisturizer too. Hemp soaks beautifully into the skin and doesn’t leave an oily residue, but give it about 5 minutes to soak in. Unlike other oils that simply coat the skin, Hemp Seed Oil’s penetrative properties will dry naturally while locking in moisture and improving skin’s quality.
