Easy DIY Gifts for Dads and Grads

Do you struggle to find the perfect gift for Father’s Day, or for that Graduate who just worked so hard to finish school? Sure, there are always the old standbys like power tools or gift cards, but perhaps you want something unique and more special to let your Dad or Grad know just how much you care. This year give them something truly unique! Create your own personalized DIY Gifts with these super easy recipes and packaging ideas!

Grease Monkey Walnut Scrub

This scrub is perfect for washing up after greasy car repairs, painting projects, or gardening, and it works wonders to smooth rough hands and feet too!

Ingredients

 Directions

  • Scoop the AHA Mint Walnut Body Polish into a large mixing bowl
  • Add 3 tbsp Sweet Orange Essential Oil
  • Mix the ingredients together
  • It’s that easy!

Packaging and Labels

  • We suggest using a large jar with a wide opening for easy access or  simply repackage your scrub in the same 1/2 gallon container the Walnut Polish arrived in.  Container and Packaging has some great options, but local craft stores often carry packaging as well. Plastic mason jars are a popular and unique packaging option.
    • Be sure to fill your jars and clean them off before applying labels.
  • We suggest using water resistant, non-smearing labels. Avery has an excellent selection and you can make custom labels right from their website. They will even print them for you! You can check out our tutorial on making labels and on how to apply labels.

Fresh Feet Spray

Ingredients

 Directions

  • Pour 2oz Fresh Feet Essential Oil Blend and 2oz Polysorbate 20 into a small bowl and mix well. The Polysorbate prevents the Essential Oil from separating from the Body/Linen Spray. You don’t have to add Polysorbate, but you will have  to shake the spray prior to each use.
  • Pour 1/2 Gallon Body Linen Spray into a large mixing bowl add the Polysorbate 20 and Fresh Feet Essential Oil Blend mixture
  • Mix the ingredients together

Packaging and Labels

  • We suggest using an 8-16 oz bottle with a fine mist sprayer. Container and Packaging has great options, and local craft stores often carry packaging as well.
    • Be sure to fill your bottles and clean them off before applying labels.
  • We suggest using water resistant, non-smearing labels. Avery has an excellent selection and you can make custom labels right from their website. They will even print them for you! You can check out our tutorial on making labels and on how to apply labels.
